Worship

Worship during Sunday morning service at Redemption

Key Components

Bible-Based

Our singing, praying, and preaching will always be based on the truth of Scripture. God’s Word is our final authority. “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.” Isaiah 40:8

Head and Heart

Our services seek to spur on real, heartfelt emotions towards God as we think and reflect clearly on biblical truth. “And he said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’Matthew 22:37

Reality

Our services direct people to have a personal encounter with the true and living God as we pursue reverence, passion, and wonder. Read Psalm 96:1-13 for a picture of biblical worship.

Transparency

Our trust is in our message, not ourselves as messengers. So our hope is that your focus and adoration be directed to God’s glory and not our volunteers. “Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!” Psalm 115:1

Contemporary and Traditional

Our church’s singing celebrates various time periods and styles of music to show that worship transcends preference. “And he said to them, ‘Therefore every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like a master of a house, who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old.’ ” Matthew 13:52
