Moving the Church Online

Moving the Church Online

Hey Church! We have seen a drastic and rapid change in how we do ministry over the last few weeks. In church production, we thrive on being “on-site”, doing ministry together, and seeing God move in the room during our weekend services and mid-week ministries.

The number one thing we look for when recruiting new team members is a heart to glorify God and serve our church well. Knowing how to run the technology is secondary and teachable. The production team at Redemption London, who are among the best in their roles I know, serve you faithfully every week. They are worshiping and in God’s Word while they serve. While in the booth, we get to see our church worship and open God’s Word together. It’s a view we see every weekend and it never gets old. For now, we wait for the day when we get to experience that with you again.

I’m extremely grateful for a church that has technology available, not only to support our weekly ministries, but allows us to continue to worship and be taught in the Word while at home. This is a unique time. Instead of filling our days with ministry in our building, we now record, and plan recordings, to meet you where you (physically) are. We have been asked the question “Why pre-record instead of livestream?” There is no wrong way to bring God’s Word to our church. We are seeking to meet you where you are, in the room you’re in, and the moments you’re experiencing as best we can. We also seek to be good stewards of the resources we have been blessed with in our church. As staff, this time has brought new challenges, we don’t have all the answers, but we will adapt as time goes on and God leads.

Through sermons, musical worship, “Hope from the Word” devotionals, and these “Reflections” articles, we hope you are finding a peace that surpasses all understanding as you seek to draw closer to God individually, and with your families. We will continue to work and seek what else God would have us do.

Pray for us! We are praying for all of you. Use this time to strengthen your relationships with God. I can’t wait until the next time we are together as a church. That view from the booth will be amazing! May we never take it for granted again.
