Bible study

What to Expect

Who can come?

This ministry is specifically geared towards men and women, aged 18 and older who have intellectual disabilities.

When and where do we meet?

We meet every Wednesday morning (except in the summer) from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Redemption Bible Chapel. We do have special events throughout the year and in the summer season, so be sure to check the events page for dates.

What can I Expect?

We’ll begin with a time of group Bible teaching, then break into smaller groups for discussion, encouragement, and prayer. These small groups will remain the same throughout the year, giving us the opportunity to build deeper relationships, ask honest questions, and support one another through meaningful connection and prayer.

FAQs

Caregiver attendance

We kindly ask that caregivers remain present with their loved ones during the duration of the Bible study. Your presence helps ensure safety, provides necessary personal care, communication assistance and other support, and allows us to create a welcoming, respectful environment where everyone can participate meaningfully in the Bible teaching and small group time.

Is there a cost for the study?

Not all Bible study sessions will have a fee associated with it. However, if there is a session where there is a fee, it will be posted on the registration page for that study session.

Building accessibility

We will meet on the main floor of the church – which is accessible to all by the entrance off the back parking lot. The building also has accessible washroom stalls and elevators for events being held on the upper level of the building.

Are the volunteers screened?

All volunteers have completed and passed a vulnerable sector background check prior to serving.
