General Ministry Update
- We give thanks for another summer of God’s blessing and providence. Our summer series focused on God’s abundant grace, and we enjoyed a visit from two guest preachers, namely Stephen Yuille and Ken Gentzler.
- Our new book of study is Colossians which we started on September 20. We will move a little more slowly through this book as we fix our gaze on Jesus as the key to understanding our reality in this world. We look forward to the reminders of the transforming power of His death and resurrection to change our lives by His love and grace.
- We have a very busy ministry season ahead following our Kick-Off on September 13 – another full calendar! Praise the Lord for the abundance of diverse ministries and opportunities we enjoy here:

- On August 16 and Sept 20, we had 11 brothers and sisters take their next step of obedience in their walk with the Lord by participating in believer’s baptism. What a joy it is to celebrate this milestone as a church. If you have not yet taken this step, we encourage you to sign up for our upcoming Understanding Baptism Class on October 25.
- Our annual GCC Conference is just weeks away – from October 26-28. There’s still time to register – so join us in dedicating this time to refreshment and inspiration as we fellowship and walk with a plethora of churches attending this special event.
- We launched our newly updated Website on September 16 thanks to a lot of support and work from Nagules Kandasamy and Narmata Kandasamy. If you haven’t taken a peek yet, we encourage you to familiarize yourself as it is our best source of information to stay in the loop on all our services, events and resources!
- We’d like to share a couple gentle reminders about our Worship Centre. We are so glad to see many new faces as well as long-time attendees and members when we look across the rows – what a diverse and beautiful family God has made! Please continue to fill in the empty spots in your rows – bump shoulders and meet someone new! To help one another make the most of our shared time in the Worship Centre, we ask that you refrain from bringing in strollers as this can become an issue if emergency evacuation becomes necessary. We also ask that you leave disposable cups or other beverage containers that do not seal tightly outside the Worship Centre to avoid spills or stains. Thank you so much for your mindful attention to the needs of others around you while worshiping our Lord!
HR Update
- We made an announcement this summer that Jon Sodeman will be joining our staff team as an Associate Pastor after we sent Ian to Forest City in August. Jon will start in January 2027 and will oversee our small group ministries, as well as our focus on multiplication and internships.
- A special thanks to Colin and Stacey Heise who have been assisting our small group leaders this fall.
Facility Update
- If you drive a car, you’ve probably noticed a new section of paving. What a blessing to be able to update our parking lot, one section at a time. We have broken the cost of this into several sections and intend to continue making improvements over the next several years – thank you Lord for the generosity of our givers which allows such large projects to get started.
- We have an exciting update coming to our Worship Centre – a new screen and projector! We will soon have a central screen across the back of the stage to allow for improved visibility and a fresher, updated look.
- We had a team of painters working diligently updating many places around our building in mid-September. What a joy it is to witness many hands making light work, all using their talents to serve. Special thanks to Ken and Ann Evans for leading this team, the many hours they have spent painting, and their on-going service around our building.
- Our lawncare and garden team has been hard at work this summer sprucing up the gardens, trimming trees and keeping the grounds in good repair. We are grateful for the gifts God gives His people and the ways you all use your gifts to participate in our needs.
Multiplication Update
- We had around 100 people move over to Forest City Bible Church in north London. Although we can feel their absence and will miss them, we are more than excited at what God is doing around our city to revitalize churches towards healthy growth and multiplication.
- At their Kick-off Sunday, there were 180 people in attendance – praise God!
- As we rejoice over the advancement of God’s kingdom through these initiatives, there is still much left to do here. There are several gaps to be filled on our Kid’s Ministry, Usher, and Greeter teams in particular. Please check out our Serving page for more information on how you can get started putting your hand to the plow.
- Heritage Hubs are now up and running. We have a number of students benefiting from the instruction they are able to receive right here in London. There will likely be more courses offered in future, so stay tuned for your next opportunity.
- We have a team from our church plant in Sibiu, Romania visiting in October. They will attend the GCC Conference and then we will hear their pastor, Betuel, preach at our services the following Sunday.
Ministry Update
- Market Renovations are almost complete. The roof has been insulated, and a new rubber protection layer was added. Some other updates and modifications will be done to return it to good condition. We are eager to reopen our doors in October. Thanks to those who helped with these renovation tasks. Besides the physical location, this ministry relies on your donations as well as dedicated volunteers; and our team could use some new hands.
- Youth Fall Camp will take place October 2-4 at Pearce Williams Campgrounds. It is always such a blessing to see our Youth eagerly participate in these camps and then come home with hearts on fire for God. We thank God for the many leaders and other volunteers who spend hours away from their own obligations and families to pour into our youth. Please pray that God would work deeply in all of their hearts!
