What to Expect

Here's What a Typical Sunday Looks Like for Kids

Check-in & Registration

When you arrive, head to the red wall in the main lobby, where our Kids Ministry registration desk is located. Our team will help you register and check in your child to our program.

When checked in, each child will receive a printed name tag, and parents will receive a matching pickup tag with a unique three-digit code.

After the service, present your parent tag to your child’s classroom leader at pick-up. These simple check-in and check-out procedures help us provide a safe, secure, and smooth experience for every family.

Come On In!

After check in, parents bring their children to their age appropriate classrooms where they are welcomed by classroom leaders and peers. This opening time is designed to help children feel comfortable with their classroom before starting off our morning program.

Kids Worship

Our Kids Worship time is an opportunity for children to joyfully respond to who God is and what He has done for them. Through songs, Scripture memorization, offering, and structured prayer time, children learn that worship is a lifelong response of love and praise to God.

Learning God's Word

Each week, children explore the Bible through age-appropriate teaching that walks chronologically through God’s story, helping them see how every part of Scripture points to Jesus. Our caring teachers are passionate about helping children know and love Christ, placing the gospel at the centre of every Sunday.

Through discussion, crafts, games, and hands-on activities that reinforce the main idea, children are encouraged to understand God’s Word and apply it to their everyday lives.

Questions?

You Might be Wondering...

How do I plan for our first visit?

We suggest arriving 20 minutes prior to service time in order to ensure a smooth check in and arrival process. Come to the red wall in the main lobby where our registration team will help walk you through everything you need to know!

Are volunteers screened?

The safety and well-being of every child is one of our highest priorities. Every Kids Ministry volunteer completes a thorough screening process before serving, including an application, reference checks, role-specific training, and (for adult volunteers) a Vulnerable Sector Check. Our screening and training practices follow Plan to Protect® best practices to help provide a safe, caring, and secure environment where children can learn about Jesus.

Can my child attend the main worship service?

Families are always welcome to worship together in our main service, and we encourage parents to make the decision that is best for their family. We also believe children benefit from learning God’s Word in an environment designed specifically for them. Our Kids Ministry provides theologically rich, Christ-centred, and age-appropriate Bible teaching so that children can learn to know and love Jesus, while their parents are being equipped through the main worship service.

My child has special needs, do you have accommodations?

Every child is made in the image of God and is welcome in our Kids Ministry. Our model of special needs care focuses on inclusion, supporting children within their age-appropriate classroom through a dedicated one-on-one aide whenever possible. If your child has special needs, we’d love to connect with you before your visit to learn how we can best serve your family and help your child have a positive experience.
